Rolf van Meurs went to the conservatory of Tilburg in the Netherlands, where he started his guitar studies with Tom Burmanje. Later on he got lessons from Enno Voorhorst. In 2012 he graduated for his bachelor, with greatest distinction. In that same year Rolf started his master at the Lemmensinstitute in Leuven, Belgium. He was thaught by Raphaella Smits and obtained his master of music diploma with honors. Rolf launched a CD in 2015 as a highlight from his research to the life of Luigi Legnani [Italy, 1790-877]. On this album there are some unknown works of Legnani played on a 8-string Stauffer romantic guitar. Besides giving concerts and doing research, Rolf also arranges a lot of music for guitar, especially by classical composers, and others, such as Pink Floyd. |
